Checklist approval

Tasks → Checklist approval shows the checklists waiting for your approval.

How to approve

  1. Open the checklist.
  2. Review the tasks under Tasks — type, assigned user, amount and any deviation.
  3. Look at the documentation on the tasks that have some.
  4. Approve or reject.

Account details shows the accounts the reconciliation tasks cover, and the deviation calculated between account and documentation.

The approval order

A checklist can require approval from several people. It shows who has to approve — approval groups or named approvers — and who has already done so.

If you approve without being the last, you are told the checklist was approved. If you are the last, you are told the checklist was approved and has been queued for posting.

That is the point at which the entries from the posting tasks are actually posted. Until then they have only been a preview.

Rejecting

If you reject, you give a cause for rejection. The checklist goes back, with the reason attached, so whoever is responsible can correct it.

You can also reject an individual task rather than the whole checklist. The task returns to its assigned user and the rest of the checklist is left as it stands.
