Users and access¶
Under Settings, administrators control who has access to what. Access is always granted per company — a user created in the subscription can still do nothing until they are given access to a company.
The menu¶
| Page | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Users | Create and maintain users in the subscription. |
| User setup | An individual user's setup within a company. |
| User groups | Group users who should have the same access. |
| Companies | The companies the subscription covers. |
| Approval setup | Who approves what. |
| Master data | Shared lookup data. |
| Subscription | The subscription's details. |
| Auditor companies and Auditor users | Auditors' access to the companies. |
Roles and permissions¶
What a user may do follows from the permissions they hold in the company. Permissions are grouped by what they open — for example:
- Accountant — does the bookkeeping: codes and posts documents on the company's behalf.
- Auditor — reads the company's documents for audit, without changing them.
- Customer administrator — administers the subscription: users, companies and settings.
- Bank user — works in the bank module on the accounts they are granted.
- App user — signs in from the mobile app rather than the portal.
Most permissions come in a view and a full access form. Being able to see the bank account list, for instance, is not the same as being allowed to set an account up.
Bank access is set up separately¶
Access to the bank module is not granted here. Which accounts a user can see, whether they may approve, and with what amount limits, is set up under Bank → User setup. See User setup (bank).
Consolidated view¶
Choosing Consolidated view shows several companies at once — but only the companies the user already has access to. Some actions, such as manual payments, require a single company to be selected.
